Status of Projects January 2024 – West Lake STEM

Updates:

  • Glass installation at perimeter of building continues and is over 75% complete.
  • Installation of interior finishes such as tile, paint, and ceiling grid with light fixtures continues.
  • Final portion of interior slab on grade at north end of commons area has been placed.

  • Roofing membrane is complete, waiting on metal flashing and wall caps to be completed
  • Two Rooftop air handling units have been placed.
  • Glass is being installed around the perimeter of the building.
  • Installation of interior finishes such as tile and paint continue.
  • Concrete floor in the auditorium has been placed.
  • Millwork, overhead doors, and ceiling grids are being installed in the classrooms.
  • Kitchen framing is complete and drywall has begun.

Updates:

  • Roofing is 90% complete.
  • Glass is being installed around the perimeter of the building.
  • Installation of interior finishes such as tile and paint continue.
  • Landscaping has begun in the area east of the school.
  • Rough grading of the athletic field has been completed and the running track is paved and striped.
  • Parking, bus, and fire lane paving is complete.
  • Millwork, overhead doors, and ceiling grids are being installed in the classrooms.

Rough-ins in three of the academic wings are nearly complete, roofing has begun, and drywall will begin soon.

Masonry walls for band, choral, and the auditorium are 95% complete.

Masons are placing veneer brick at exterior walls in the mechanical/cafeteria wing.

Structural steel placement in the administrative area is nearly complete.Roof decking is 65% in place. Once the roof is in place, drywall installation will begin in the two south wings.

Metal stud framing, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems are nearly complete on the first floor in the south wings of the academic building.

Band and choral room masonry walls are 90% complete and were scheduled to top out the week of January 30th upon which masons will move to auditorium area.
Contractor is placing decking for second floor in northwest academic wing and preparing to place roof decking on southeast academic wing.
Metal stud, framing, interior, plumbing, electrical, lighting, power, and mechanical system installation continues in south wings.
