Status of Projects April 2023 – Cyprus High School

Cyprus High School
Building Construction

Kitchen panels have been erected creating a corridor between athletics and academics. A lecture hall and mechanical room will come off either side of the corridor and the lecture hall will be the next panel erected.

Auditorium – three of the walls have been raised and braced so that heavy equipment can come and go from the area. Steel decking has been installed on the upper levels creating walkable areas.Concrete has been placed on the stage and the landing leading up to the stage. Concrete is currently curing and is covered by tarps.Dressing area/storage has been raised and braced. This area will serve as storage of the performing arts.

Academics structure has been installed and two tilt panels have been raised around the structure. A double decker air handler system will be installed to service the area. Remaining tilt panels are curing, these will be installed on the north side of the structure. Elevator shaft has been erected and braced. This is the only elevator shaft that is tilt up on three sides in the building. This will service all three floors for academics.

Drywall in the basement of gymnasium has progressed to 90%. Masonry work has been completed in the basement of athletics. Copper and steel weld piping have been placed and have passed inspections. Window frames have been installed in athletics. Glass has been ordered and will be installed in the next couple of weeks.
