Arcadia Elementary:
A freezer/cooler was added. The front office security project was completed. Carbon monoxide detectors were installed. The domestic water pipping was replaced. A partial re-roof project occurred. A special education relocation project was completed.
Bennion Elementary:
The fire alarm system was upgraded. The front office security remodel was completed. The HAVC air flow was upgraded. Some student drop-off modifications were completed.
Calvin Smith Elementary:
The front office security remodel was completed. The fire alarm was upgraded. The irrigation for the play fields was automated. An interior facelift happened. The HVAC controls were upgraded.
Fox Hills Elementary:
An interior facelift occurred. The front office security was completed. Carbon Monoxide detectors were installed. Playground turf was installed under the play structures. The air conditioning system was upgraded. A pedestrian bridge was added with associated site improvements. The HVAC controls were upgraded.
Fremont Elementary:
The front office security project was completed with an addition. Carbon Monoxide detectors were installed. The concrete columns under the school were shored up.
Taylorsville Elementary:
Kitchen and associated cooler box addition was completed. New in-wall cafeteria tables were added. Computer room change occurred.
Truman Elementary:
The front office security project was completed. The furnace and condenser were replaced. The HVAC system was upgraded.
Vista Elementary:
New in-wall cafeteria tables were added. The front office security project was completed with an addition. Carbon Monoxide detectors were installed. The irrigation for the play fields was automated.
Eisenhower Jr.:
The domestic water piping was redone. The auditorium audio system needed to be upgraded with a new system. New single-occupancy changing rooms were added. The south exterior wall was cleaned up so waterproofing could be applied the concrete wall.
Bennion Jr.:
The auditorium audio system was upgraded. The boiler was replaced. Significant earthquake repairs were performed. The fire panel was replaced for the fire alarm system and the HVAC controls were to be upgraded.
Taylorsville High:
The tennis courts were resurfaced and are being worked on again summer 2023. An auto shop lift was installed. Gymnasium bleachers were replaced. The softball home run fence was installed. The EPIC audio enhancement was installed. A main office remodel occurred. A new 16 room portable classroom unit was purchased and had all the necessary power, security, fire alarm and water/sewer connections. The baseball and softball dugouts were redone. A new chiller was purchased and installed. A new artificial turf replaced the old one. Four new relocatable classrooms have been installed. HVAC controls are being upgraded. Air conditioning addition to the main and auxiliary gymnasiums is underway.
Panels leading to the auditorium continue to be tilted into place.
Trusses have been set in place above the drama studio/black box theater.
Mezzanine on the third floor has been placed, additional cat walks and storage areas have been fabricated. Stairs have been fabricated between the third and fourth floor mezzanine.
Air handlers have also been placed on the third floor. Underground utilities have been laid out to be buried and have utilities run through them. Cast in place concrete walls are being formed.
Panels and steel decking for the academics area is being tilted and secured in place. Decking has been completed on the second and third floor. Fabricators are working on the roof of the academics building.
Framing for ceiling hard lid has been fabricated in the basement of the gymnasium. Insulation is currently being installed in the basement and second level of the track and gymnasium area. Exhaust fan plumbing has been installed in the team rooms and bathrooms. Air exchanger has been installed and HVAC continues to be installed in the basement. Roof drains have been installed in the gymnasium and in the pool area.
Cyprus C has been formed and is curing.
Significant progress has been made on the structure of the project now that the weather has been improving. The majority of levels 1-4 have had the structural steel completed and they have started installing the decking throughout to prepare for several pours on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
The framer has almost finished the north half of the administrative suite and the in wall electrical and plumbing has started. The roof was also completed in this area.
The south half of the administration area slab was poured and the tilt panels that go along the west end of this area have been formed and prepped to be placed next week.
The kitchen area is almost completed with framing and in wall electrical and plumbing. The mechanical duct work is also near completion.
With the nicer weather, the sports fields have almost dried out and are getting close to being available for use. The north pathway on the property should also be open to the public in the next week.
Rough-ins in three of the academic wings are nearly complete, roofing has begun, and drywall will begin soon.
Decking for running track in gymnasium is being installed.
Interior masonry walls in auditorium are in progress.
Structural masonry is mostly complete and veneer facing is in progress.
Cyprus High School
Building Construction
Kitchen panels have been erected creating a corridor between athletics and academics. A lecture hall and mechanical room will come off either side of the corridor and the lecture hall will be the next panel erected.
Auditorium – three of the walls have been raised and braced so that heavy equipment can come and go from the area. Steel decking has been installed on the upper levels creating walkable areas.Concrete has been placed on the stage and the landing leading up to the stage. Concrete is currently curing and is covered by tarps.Dressing area/storage has been raised and braced. This area will serve as storage of the performing arts.
Academics structure has been installed and two tilt panels have been raised around the structure. A double decker air handler system will be installed to service the area. Remaining tilt panels are curing, these will be installed on the north side of the structure. Elevator shaft has been erected and braced. This is the only elevator shaft that is tilt up on three sides in the building. This will service all three floors for academics.
Drywall in the basement of gymnasium has progressed to 90%. Masonry work has been completed in the basement of athletics. Copper and steel weld piping have been placed and have passed inspections. Window frames have been installed in athletics. Glass has been ordered and will be installed in the next couple of weeks.
