West Lake STEM Junior High School: School Design
West Lake Junior Community Council reviewed the new school floor plan, elevations and color schemes. The exterior colors were sent out to the community at large for feedback.
Pre-bid meeting was 12/01/21.

- Pool excavation complete.
- Kitchen and cafeteria demolished.
- Mount Olympus sewer main work at north property line has started.
- Electrical work at north pedestrian walkway is progressing.
- The tilt panel casting slab at the softball complex has been placed.
- Earth work at demolished art building in progress.

West Lake STEM J unior High School – Demolition / Site Preperation
- The demolition of the building is done
- Soils are being imported, compacted and site is being staged for construction.
- Soil compaction testing is being conducted and all tests so far have passed inspection.

- Project is in design.
- 90% plan review was held on 12//03/2021.
- Request for Proposal has been issued fo contractors for pre-qualification.
- Bid release 11/29/2021.

- Mechanical, electrical and plumbing are ongoing
- Interior painting and locker room tile are underway.
- Retaining walls and perimeter fencing to begin early November.
- Demolition contractor will mobilize mid November for woodshop / arts building and cafeteria.

- Contractors are preparing footings, starting in the gymnasium, locker rooms, and swimming pool.

Main gymnasium wood floor is beginning to be sanded.
Auxiliary gym wood floor is being set. Interior corridor flooring ongoing.
Mechanical startups have commenced.
Abatement at old Aux Gym/Pool building complete.
Existing pool demo to start in July.
