January Update – Design Phase and Additional Projects
Design Phase Update
Schools and district staff are working closely with architects to establish guidelines and imperatives for rebuilds and remodels.
Especially for Cyprus High and Skyline High, these imperatives are modeled on building flexibility. This means the structures will better support and accommodate functional change during the life of the building.
It also means flexibility in the delivery of education by being able to easily change the size and shape of various learning areas to meet the needs of students.
As a reminder, the design phase for an elementary school is approximately 10-12 months. For high schools, architectural design takes 18-24 months.
Approved architectural contracts:
Cyprus High – EVELATE, $3,715,030.90
Skyline High – ELEVATE, $3,821,800.00
